Collection: Aukanai’i Collection

A New Chapter of Healing and Resilience

After two years of putting our family business, Kontac, on hold, we are excited to launch a new chapter: the Aukanai’i collection, an inspired line of aloha wear. Named after our second child, Aukanai’i - which means “strong warrior” - this collection represents more than just clothing; it symbolizes our journey of healing, resilience, and renewed motivation. 

While Kontac will continue to honor our roots in hunting and fishing - activities that brought joy and unity to our family - Aukanai’i embraces the softer side of our story. This new line features my own original designs inspired by island patterns like flowers, shells, and the soothing vibes of the Hawaiian landscape. Each design is a reflection of our personal journey and healing process that helped us become stronger.

Kontac has always been about family, strength, and the bond that kept us together through adventures in the wild. Even when life took us on separate paths, I never lost sight of our goals and mission. The Aukanai’i collection adds a new layer to our story: one of softness, renewal, and the beauty that can come from growth and perseverance. 

Together, Kontac and Aukanai’i celebrate the full spectrum of our journey - strength and softness, adventure and healing, wilderness and island beauty.
